ZoomTV was an hour long youth led, magazine style show broadcasting for 5 days
from the 18th – 22nd August 2008. Thanks to the Arts Council of Wales and the Atrium,
Zoom have been able to achieve the impossible and get ZoomTV up and running!
Each young person involved were allocated a specific role and received training
from people working in the industry, like Iola Protheroe, a freelance floor
manager who regularly works on BBC news and Lewis Vaughan Jones, a reporter from
ITN.
From programme content, shooting & editing packages, designing & creating
opening titles & ‘stings’, to learning what it takes run a full, state of the
art television studio, all the participants were eager, excited and full of
enthusiasm. The results of their efforts were available to watch daily on
www.zoomcymru.com.
