The
Liverpool Nativity was the largest televised music drama ever attempted live on
city streets, broadcast on BBC Three with a cast of 300 performing the one-hour production. Another
150 production crew members brought the reworking of the story of Christ’s
birth to the screen.
Starring Geoffrey Hughes [Coronation Street, Keeping Up
Appearances], Cathy Tyson [Mona Lisa, Band of Gold], Jennifer Ellison
[Brookside, Phantom of the Opera], Nerys Hughes [The Liver Birds,
District Nurse] & Paul Barber [Only Fools and
Horses, The Full Monty], the Liverpool Nativity was
broadcast live on BBC Three on December 16th 2007 at 8pm.
Damian was the AFM for all elements of the Mary & Joseph scenes across six
separate locations
[on both sides of the Mersey and aboard a moving ferry!!]
during the hour-long live broadcast.
