Damian George is a writer, producer & director based in West Wales. Formerly, a theatre set & costume designer,
Damian moved in to television production when he joined the BBC in 1999. After more than six successful years
at BBC Wales, working in a variety of roles, Damian is now established on a freelance basis.
His first television drama series, Bad Hair Day was commissioned in 2003, produced by BBC Wales for 2W and
originally transmitted in May 2004.
Damian has worked with Pobol y Cwm, the daily Welsh language drama serial
produced by BBC Cymru Wales. Amongst other productions, he was the Producer for the BBC Wales
documentaries The Bingo Man
& Chris Needs - By Royal Appointment and has produced the
BBC Wales
series, Define Normal.
He has also written & produced Hidden - a dramatic film for Barnardo's Cymru,
which will be broadcast by the BBC. More recently, he has produced Takeover TV: Carmarthen and
the series' Five Days in Haverfordwest as part of the ongoing
BBC Wales Here for You Community Strategy as well as writing, producing & directing work for Eversheds,
Sky Sports New Zealand, BBC Wales Promos, BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Wales Music, VOX Productions, The Sports Council for Wales
and the Zoom Film Festival.
